Stories matter. That is why we will continue to connect with our community, share stories, and serve young children, families, and educators at this time. Thanks to the support of our community, we’re working creatively and innovatively to connect with children and families online at this time. Here’s what we’re offering right now for children and families:
We’re enrolling families with young children ages 3-5 for our FREE early reading program. Build your child’s early reading skills, receive free books and school supplies, and gain strategies to help your child thrive in school and beyond! Our programming is offered in English and Spanish.
Make Way for Books App
We encourage families with young children as well as educators to download the Make Way for Books Early Literacy App to find books and activities you can share together. The Make Way for Books App includes “Read Now” books families can share with young children anytime, anywhere. Additionally, the app provides research-based literacy activities families can do together using what they already have at home.
Families and educators can download the bilingual (English and Spanish) Make Way for Books App for free at the following links:
Make Way for Books Online Storytime
Additionally, due to current circumstances, we are not able to provide programming in person with children and families at this time. Therefore, we have launched the Make Way for Books Online Storytime group where we share livestream storytimes mornings (Monday through Friday) as well as additional resources and activities for families. Families with young children can join the group on Facebook here.
Here’s how you can help today:
