Chief Finance Officer

The CFO will play a crucial role in overseeing all aspects of financial planning, budgeting, reporting, grant management, and compliance to ensure the long-term financial sustainability and success of our organization.

Full-time; Salary DOE (annually)

Location: Tucson

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field (Master's degree preferred).
  • CPA certification highly desirable.
  • Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in financial management, preferably in the nonprofit sector.
  • Strong knowledge of nonprofit accounting principles, regulations, and compliance requirements.
  • Experience in grant management, including grant proposal development, budgeting, reporting, and compliance.
  • Proven track record of financial leadership, strategic planning, and budget management.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with diverse stakeholders, both verbally and in writing.

The Assistant Program Director supports the development, coordination, and administration of an assigned program or programs in collaboration with the Regional Program Director or a Senior Program Director.

Full-time; $52,152 - $65,190 DOE (annually)

Location: Phoenix Area

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in early childhood education or closely related.
  • 2 years’ program leadership experience.
  • 3 years’ professional experience in early literacy and childhood education.
  • Extensive knowledge of adult learning theory, curriculum development, and engagement strategies.
  • Ability to perform verifiable research in the areas of early childhood literacy, teaching styles, learning styles, and program administration.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build relationships with flexibility and finesse.

  • Excellent problem-solving skills.

Family Literacy Specialist, Phoenix East Valley

Family Literacy Specialists provide fun and meaningful early literacy education to families with children ages birth to five.  Literacy programs are offered as a weekly series where parents and children learn together.  Parents are empowered to foster their child’s emergent literacy and language skills through play-based interactions.  Responsibilities include recruiting families, implementing curriculum with fidelity, data collection and analysis, and resource distribution.

Full-time; $45,000-$48,000 annually

Location: Central Phoenix / East Valley (Chandler)

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in early childhood education or other closely related field
  • Fluency in Spanish language
  • Knowledge of early childhood development, especially related to early language, communication, and literacy
  • Experience facilitating workshops for families
  • Familiarity with both early childhood and adult learning principles
  • Honors diversity and interacts with others in a culturally and linguistically competent manner
