Early Literacy Resources for Early Childhood Educators and Childcare Providers
It’s one thing to know the difference early literacy makes in the lives of young children. It’s another thing for educators to have access to all the resources required to help children foster reading-readiness skills. MAKE WAY FOR BOOKS understands how challenging it is for many preschools and childcare centers, especially those serving underprivileged children, to obtain quality early literacy instructional resources. To help fill the gap, MAKE WAY FOR BOOKS provides professional development opportunities as well as research-based early literacy teaching guides and activities. MWFB also provides a full continuum of preschool resources through its Preschool Program for centers participating in Quality First, a First Things First initiative.

Early Literacy Teaching GuidesMWFB early literacy teaching guides include suggested books and activities. The teaching guides are provided as a supplement to the professional development workshops. Because the teaching guides are an integral component of the workshops, MWFB strongly recommends that educators attend the applicable workshops before using the teaching guides. |
